For the technology variants created in the Basic module, the exact tool profiles can first be calculated here. Mathematically determined involutes or alternatively imported workpiece profiles are used for this purpose.
Subsequently, the resulting workpiece profile can be exactly determined in terms of gear hobbing, also with the aid of corrections in all relevant axes such as axis cross angle, position angle and center distance.
The second major part of the main functions is the mathematically exact simulation of the cutting process for each cut based on the real tool profiles and technologies. Results here are effective process angles, motion vectors, chip thicknesses and forces along the cutting edge and over time.
