Efficient and cost-effective processes for the production of high-quality toothed components, such as those required in planetary gears for electromobility, require innovative technological approaches. One answer is Power Skiving, a gear cutting process with a specific cutting edge that combines the productivity of gear hobbing and the geometric flexibility of gear shaping.

As a user of the process, you are faced with the challenge that there is still little empirical knowledge available on the design of Power Skiving processes, since the process has only recently become available on the market and is also highly complex due to its process-typical multi-cutting strategies. The need for a mathematical process model and user software to support the design process is correspondingly great.

 

What is our solution for you?

The specially developed SkiveAll software supports you as a user in the design of Power Skiving processes - from workpiece definition and kinematic design to the calculation of tool geometry and process analysis functions. The software has a modular structure:

The central module is the SkiveAll Basic design module. Here, technology variants are designed, tested and optimized on the basis of simple inputs for the workpiece geometry.

The SkiveAll 3D module is used to calculate the tool profile and precisely simulate machining technologies. An import interface is available for integrating the technology variants generated in the Basic module.
